The question

Where can an idea go before it is ready to become a post, a document or a finished answer?

BeforeSense explores a quieter space for that unfinished stage. Thoughts inhabit a spatial field, where a person can leave an idea, follow a connection or return to something that is still taking shape.

A small grammar for possibility

Throw introduces a human-authored thought. Branch develops a response from one parent. Combine brings two selected thoughts into a new third thought, retaining both parents. Spark and Drift offer other ways to respond and explore.

The product leaves authorship with the person. It does not describe these actions as AI-generated thought creation.

My part

Independent project development, exploring product behaviour and implementation with coding agents. This case study presents a bounded slice of the work; it makes no claim about adoption, revenue or measured social impact.

One decision: keep the relationships

A Combine keeps two parent relationships rather than replacing the originals. A Branch keeps one. That distinction lets a new thought preserve where it came from, while remaining an idea in its own right.

This choice favours traceable relationships over a simpler replacement action. It also asks the interface to keep origins understandable as thoughts accumulate.

What remains open

This is a beta. Saving, submission for review and public visibility are separate states. The diagram here explains the interaction model; it is not a product screenshot. Long-term comfort, repeat use and the value people find in the space remain questions to investigate.
